Brewer’s Bounty

A ~100-year-old puzzle hunt has been discovered in Philly! It seems that America’s first lager brewer, John Wagner, created eight puzzles that, when solved together, unlock a hidden treasure. I’ve managed to collect them all thanks to curious modern-day brewers and purveyors of beer. And now I’ve turned Wagner’s puzzle hunt into a public event with the help of BrewedAt!

We believe Wagner’s intention was to share his love of beer with all Philadelphians. So our goal with Brewer’s Bounty is to let everyone experience the thrill of cracking Wagner’s puzzles—while enjoying discounts at the locations involved in the mystery! And if you submit the final password by April 30th, you’ll be rewarded with a share of the treasure… once it’s unlocked!

Oh, and I’m awarding $100 cash to the first person to crack it!

Time to complete:
With eight puzzles across eight locations, it’s hard to provide a solid estimate of how long this might take. Perhaps about 3 hours plus travel time?

Prizes:
BrewedAt and I are putting up a $100 cash prize, which we’ll award to the first person to solve this puzzle hunt. Furthermore, we will evenly divide the treasure amongst everyone who correctly solves it by the end of our event (April 30th).

Accessibility information:
All eight businesses involved with the Brewer’s Bounty either have no stairs or a ramp/lift to enter.
