This portion of the Delaware River is tidal. Look to the north and to the south—can you tell if it’s high tide, low tide, or somewhere in between? How much of the mudflat between the piers is exposed? Can you see the “bathtub rings” on the adjacent piers where the high water mark is? Look in the hole next to the artwork—can you see any water in the bottom? Do you think the tide is coming in or going out right now?
